We were guided by Giuseppe who was very nice and kind! Most importantly the food we had was amazingly fresh and delicious! Strongly recommend the place to others living in and visiting Greenwich!

I couldn’t appraise this place enough. They serve delicious authentic Italian food. The ravioli and all the pizza with focaccia were outstanding ! The Christmas special dessert with panettone was also divine !! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The owner and chef also had a chat with us to see if we are enjoying. Amazing hospitality in this restaurant! Highly recommended!

My colleague recommended the place and it was indeed great! The staff are very lovely and friendly. They really want you to have a good experience and they are always listening to you. We took a Margherita pizza and a salad to accompany the pizza and it was so delicious. The crust was crunchy and flaky. The cheese was so creamy and fresh: you literally have a cheese pull moment with each bite! The salad complemented well the pizza and I would highly recommend to get the two! Will definitely come back to try more!

Superb Italian food, freshly cooked. Very simple menu with few choices, and clearly benefits from it. For a starter we took the garlic bread and they had the best focaccia I've had, with the garlic and olive oil flavour bursting through. For a main I had the lasagna, with most Italian places a 'safe' but stodgy choice, but the owner recommended and here it was light and easy, packed with flavour. The tomato sauce on it was beautiful, tasted so fresh. We shared a Pepperoni pizza with added Nduja between the 5 of us and it was so moreish, with the mozzarella on point. For dessert I had the Cannoli and wow, the ricotta was incredible and the chocolate shavings were home made by the restaurant - you could tell it wasn't commercial chocolate as the excess literally melted at your touch. They recommend some coffee to end followed by a Limoncello (they gave it free for us) that was beautifully smooth. Followed it with a walk up the hill to the observatory to cap a great trip to Greenwich. This review feels a tad OTT for me but looking back at it there's nothing I'd change. I hope your experience is as good as mine.

We discovered Madre almost by chance, and it instantly won us over! We started with a focaccia with ’nduja and fiordilatte, followed by two pinse—a Diavola and a Marinara—paired with two excellent glasses of Trebbiano. Everything was delicious, with high-quality ingredients and a light, crispy dough. The atmosphere is super cozy, and the service was spot-on. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive, and the owner, Gemma, was warm and welcoming. Crazy that we had never heard of this place before! We’ll definitely be back, and since they make everything in-house, I’m excited to try the pasta next time.

Yummy pizza restaurant in Greenwich! They made a fresh pizza, and it tasted so good. It is recommended for people who want to eat some pizza in Greenwich. The staff are friendly, and the environment is good. And No service charge! ...

My husband and I were planning on being in the area and made reservations here. What a GREAT decision!! When we arrived it was quiet but arrivals started to pick up quickly. The server was friendly, helpful, and efficient. We ordered drinks, garlic bread, and our mains (Saporita pinze for me, ravioli for my husband). From the first bite of garlic bread we were sold! My husband remarked that the cannoli was one of the best he’s had! It’s clear that the recipes are made with the simplest ingredients to deliver the best possible flavour experience. We were very impressed! Although we’re just Canadians here on holiday, this is a must-do restaurant. We would love to return! Grazie!

Absolutely delicious! Definitely the best pizza(actually Pinsa) restaurant in the whole area. The dough is very light and the all the the toppings were so tasty! They clearly use very good quality ingredients. We tried the Bianca 3 with mushrooms, speck and smoked mozzarella and the Bianca 4 with pistachio pesto, mortadella, mushrooms, some more pistachio grounded on top and crushed coffe beans (highly recommended!). For dessert we had the cannolo siciliano which was absolutely sublime. Till today I haven't find a better cannolo anywhere else in London. Must try!
